Forget Tinder—one Chicago Marathon runner has found a better way to get a date.

Newly single Steve Bergstrom, 30, took matters placed a personal ad on his own back during the race, according to Runner's World.

Somehow writing "SINGLE / on Facebook / Steve Bergstrom" on his back in permanent marker worked, twelve women contacted him after seeing the very personal ad.

He made sure to write the message on his back so fellow runners, not spectators, would get the message. He prefers dating fellow athletes but flashed his back to a few female spectators he thought were worth it.

"It's basic marketing, to make sure you're broadcasting your message to the audience that you're wishing to capture," he told the magazine. "If life is easy when you're dating an athlete, why not broadcast in this sort of a venue?"

Like many of us, he's not loaded with time to meet people, but this seemed like a brilliant idea when it popped into his head while relaxing with some bourbon.

He's had a few good conversations over Facebook Messenger, and he's met up with one very special woman so far—a fellow dating sign-holder! She's a marathoner who was watching with a big sign featuring a photo of her cat and the message, "MY MOM IS LOOKING FOR A #CATDAD."

"I said, 'You know, with me showing up at the marathon with my sign on my back and you showing up at the marathon with that sign, we are missing out on a golden opportunity for future storytelling here if we don't meet up and have a drink," he said to Runner's World. "And we did, and it was great."

It sounds like a match made in heaven to us.
