An Oak Park man is facing charges after smashing a mason jar on the face of a fellow bar patron last month, prosecutors say.

Connor Adaire, 22, is being charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm for an incident that happened Sept. 20, according to the Tribune.

Adaire was out with friends at Old Crow Smokehouse, just south of Wrigley Field and well within the Douche Vortex. A bar patron tried to take away a drink belonging to one of Adaire's friends. Adaire responded by hitting the victim in the face with a Mason jar, prosecutors say.

Police were called in around 2:30 a.m. The victim was left with a concussion, nerve damage and 33 stitches, police said.

Adaire is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to court records.
