Photos: Miley Kicks Off Dead Petz Tour In Chicago Wearing A Dildo And Not Much Else (NSFW)

Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz—which is actually Miley Cyrus fronting The Flaming Lips—kicked off their tour in Chicago Thursday night, and while they didn't deliver on Wayne Coyne's threat of it being another "naked concert" it was still a visual wonderland.
Cyrus started collaborating with The Lips in 2014, providing guest vocals for a Beatles covers album With a Little Help from My Fwends. She and the group hit it off and they continued working together, unlikely as the pairing appeared at first. Cyrus eventually told The New York Times, "I am 100 percent in love with Wayne, and Wayne is in love with me, but it’s nothing sexual in any way. That would be the grossest." So it's totally not creepy.
We've long been proponents that Cyrus is cannier, and more artistically ambitious, than she gets credit for, so when she suddenly dropped a full length album—with The Lips as her (mostly) co-writers and backing band—independently from her label it wasn't a huge surprise. The album sounds like you think it would—it's basically Cyrus fronting The Lips, with plenty of meandering experimentation.
Thursday night's concert appears to have melded the best parts of both groups' live shows, with Cyrus' wild costumes and Coyne and company's DIY stage production, so revel in these photos and video, since we bet you're just as bummed as we are to have missed it.
