TBOX May Just Be The Most Hellish Place In Chicago This Christmas Season

It's a fierce competition around the holidays to truly be the single worst place in Chicago. For you, it might be fighting for a seat at The Walnut Room, or snagging a final discounted sweater at Nordstrom Rack, or standing in line for a boot full of wine at Christkindlmarket.

But we think we've found the clear winner this season: it's the "Twelve Bars of Christmas" Crawl in Wrigleyville, known to your friendly neighborhood bros as TBOX.

The event, which started in 1996 with 12 bars (hence the name) now has more than 40 participants and expects more than 15,000 party goers this year. Previous years' festivities have included a not-so-festive bathroom stabbing, so now the whole thing is patrolled by security guards.

The douche vortex of Wrigleyville, normally a serious red dot on the Chicago map, is going to get even darker.

So if you want to get drunk in Wrigleyville with 15,000 of your closest friends, tickets are still available. A ticket is $50, and gets you (wait for it) a pair of "Cherry Red Fingerless #TBOX Drinkin' Gloves" and a gym bag. It's the perfect X-Mas gift for the bros in your life. You'll need a wristband to get in to any of the venues, so either pay up or go home.

On the plus side, the event donates a ton of money to charity. On the other hand, for some of our more political readers, a lot of that money goes to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, which might not be at the top of your giving list at the moment. More information is available on their website.
