One of the San Bernardino shooting suspects, Rizwan Syed Farook, was born in Chicago and might have lived in Darien for a time, according to the Daily Herald.

Farook was born on June 14, 1987, at Cook County Hospital to Syed Farook and Rafia Shariff Farook. The family lived in an apartment on the 1900 block of West Harrison Street at the time.

Before moving to Riverside, Calif. in 2001, the family lived in an apartment on Plainfield Road in Darien for a short time in 1990 and then at several locations in Chicago, according to records.

His brother was born at Elmhurst Hospital in 1985 when the family lived in Melrose Park.

Farook also listed Chicago as his birthplace on his dating profile on IMilap.com, a "site for People with Disabilities and Second Marriage," according to NBC.

He and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, killed 14 people and injured 17 during a shooting rampage at San Bernardino's Inland Regional Center on Wednesday before dying in a shootout with police, authorities say. He opened fire on the holiday banquet for his employer, the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health.
