Oooooh, intimate. (AMC)

The brand new AMC Dine-In Theatres at Block 37 officially opens tomorrow, just in time for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. As movie patrons encounter ever-growing options for taking in their entertainment outside a movie theater, cinemas have had to step up their game. Where once concession counters only offered stale popcorn and boxes of Junior Mints, many are offering a much wider variety dining options, and additional conveniences. And some theaters go far beyond that, ushering in the era of luxury movie viewing.

The Block 37 location of the AMC Dine-In Theatres is definitely on the high end. Eleven auditoriums offer individual plush leather recliners and a full menu available to patrons. Servers can be summoned with the single press of a button. A full menu is available, and viewers over the age of 21 have access to a full bar. Though take it easy, you do want to remember the movie you're seeing, right?

Now you'll know what it's like to travel First Class? (AMC)

Unlike some of the higher end theaters out there, all seats at this AMC Dine-In Theatres location are recliners, and all seats are reserved, which means no more scrambling or getting to the movies an hour ahead of time for a decent seat. Though if you do want to meet friends early, you have the option of hanging out at the theater's bar, MacGuffins (yes, named after the Hitchcock plot convention) for some drinks and food.

You will pay for all these amenities: tickets vary in pricing depending on the time of day but can run from $7.49 to $18.99, plus tax.

As for fans wanting to get in on some Star Wars action this weekend? Some theaters are being a little fan un-friendly, but a statement on the theater's website says their viewpoint is:

AMC does not permit weapons or items that would make other guests feel uncomfortable or detract from the movie-going experience. Guests are welcome to come dressed in costume, but we do not permit masks or face paint. In short, bring your lightsaber, turn it off during the movie, and leave the blaster and Darth Vader mask at home.

So the new AMC Dine-In Theatres isn't all upper-class snobbery; you can get your inner Jedi on while treating yourself to some cinematic pampering.
