Where To Eat On Christmas Day In Chicago

Looking for somewhere to eat on Christmas Day? There are plenty of restaurants that will be open on Dec. 25, including several of the city's top hotel restaurants and casual places like Ann Sather and Chinatown's Ken Kee. Here are our suggestions for where to grab food this year.

  • The Langham Hotel: All of the food at the Langham and its Travelle Restaurant is fabulous and we're sure that their holiday brunch buffet spread won't be an exception. Served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., it will feature a full seafood buffet, "chef action stations" and an appearance by Santa. It costs $135 per person and $50 for kids. Reservations can be made here.The Langham is located at 330 N. Wabash.
  • Nico Osteria: The Italian restaurant will be serving its regular dinner menu in addition to an $85 four-course Italian meal. Reservations can be made here. Nico Osteria is located at 1015 N. Rush.
  • Michael Jordan's Steak House: The Michigan Avenue favorite will be open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for dinner from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The special of the day will be a smoked dry aged prime rib with raclette cheese, stuffed bone marrow and black truffle for $51. Michael Jordan's is located at 505 N. Michigan.
  • Rural Society: Chef Jose Garces' new Streeterville favorite will be serving its regular menu plus holiday-inspired specials. Rural Society is located at 455 N. Park.
  • Ann Sather: If you're looking for something more casual and reasonably priced, this brunch favorite will be serving five special Christmas dinners at their flagship location. The dinner will feature soup, assorted breads, a seasonal entree and a choice of apple or pumpkin pie. It's only $19.95 per adult and $10.95 for children. The regular breakfast menu will be served from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. with the holiday menu available from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Ann Sather is located at 909 W. Belmont.
  • The Florentine:
    The J. W. Marriott's Italian restaurant will be serving its regular menu with holiday specials including slow roasted prime rib and panettone bread pudding with rum raisin gelato for dessert. The Florentine is located at 151 W. Adams.
  • Ken Kee: Chinese food is a long-standing Christmas Day tradition for millions of Americans and fortunately, one of Chinatown's best restaurants will be open on Friday. Stop by for some amazing chow mein, wonton noodle soup and more. Ken Kee is located at 2129-A S. China Place.
  • Golden Chef Chinese Kitchen: This takeout Humboldt Park spot cooks everything to order and opens around 11 a.m. Golden Chef Chinese Kitchen is located at 3262 W North.
