For the past four years, Zoë Schor has been Executive Chef at Ada Street, opening that restaurant and winning it Michelin Bib Gourmand status. Now, she's out on her own and starting her own restaurant: Split-Rail.

"I really want to have fun with food," explains Schor. The restaurant isn't coming until late 2016, but fans can get a multi-course preview this weekend.

Schor is taking over White Oak Tavern on Sunday night for a five course meal, paired with Orin Swift wines. "They [Orin Swift] have turned people’s preconceived notions on their ear. I’m trying to do that with my food, too." Dishes look fabulous, and include "A Study of Eggs," complete with a 64-degree egg, caviar, uni cream and brioche, as well as "Childhood in New England," a dessert combination of brown bread, spoon bread, ice cream and graham cracker streusel. The complete menu is below.

The location for Split-Rail hasn't been nailed down yet, but Schor is most excited about having a larger kitchen than the tiny Ada Street space. "Having that kitchen space is going to allow a little more complexity to each dish," she explains. Split-Rail will also feature brunch, since Schor (strangely for a chef) is a morning person and loves brunch food.

The dinner starts at 6 p.m. on Sunday, and the price (all inclusive of tax, tip, service and wine) is $150. Tickets are available here.
