Video: Insanely Tenacious Rat Won't Leave Lincoln Park Urgent Care Alone

Chicago finally has its answer to New York City's infamous Pizza Rat, and it's an insanely tenacious rat that for some reason really wanted inside a Lincoln Park urgent care last weekend.

A woman posted a Youtube video of the encounter between the employee of the Immediate MD urgent care at 121 W. North Ave. and the rat; she can be heard on tape reacting with pitch-perfect disgust to the scene. The rat scrambled up the scrubs-clad employee's pants leg and the handle of a broom, and clung to just about anything he could to avoid getting shut out of the clinic (not entirely unlike how I behaved while trying to get a strep throat test last week).

A description under the video elaborates: "No joke...pre-video taping, rat pounces man's leg, man in scrubs furiously shakes leg to eject rat; rat is unstoppable and man resorts to broom."

You hear that, NYC? Chicago's rats are unstoppable.
