The kink club that tried to move into River North as of November, sparking protests from neighbors, has given up on making River North sexy.

The enterprise has withdrawn its zoning application for 356 W. Superior St., Peter Strazzabosco, the city's deputy commissioner of planning and development, told DNAInfo.

The club, Galleria Domain 2—which describes itself on its website as “Chicago’s premier kink club”—filed their zoning application for a new location on Nov. 4, according to this public notice:

Now, plans for the "private social club for adults" are no more, though Galleria's existing location, for members only, will presumably continue to operate near the border of Bucktown and Logan Square, close to the intersection of Western Avenue and North Avenue. (The street address is not publicly available.)

The club's operators did not reply to our request for comment.
