Andersonville Is Getting A New Kanela Breakfast Club Location

Updated May 6: The North Side's ever-popular Kanela Breakfast Club now has a new location in Andersonville.

Kanela is opening its fifth location in the Clark Street space recently vacated by Summerdale, Eater reports, at 5413 N. Clark St. The breakfast spot opened May 6.

The brunch spot, known for its chocolate-bacon waffles and for being co-owned by former Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, began expanding its long brunch lines and decadent breakfast items in 2013 after opening its second location in Old Town. The first location of the local mini-chain opened in 2010 in Lakeview.
