The hacktivist collective Anonymous is calling for a "total war" on Donald Trump in a new video, and its latest campaign to take down the demagogue and GOP presidential nomination frontrunner calls for an attack on Trump Tower Chicago's website, trumpchicago.com.

A video of a masked person emblematic of Anonymous's communication style says it wants hackers to attack Trump's websites on April Fool's Day, and particularly singles out the website for the hotel and residential building on North Wabash Avenue. Trump Tower is not actually owned by Donald Trump, but it was developed by his company and bears his last name in unfortunately large lettering. Trump recently cancelled a high-profile rally in Chicago at the last minute, creating some chaos and confusion between supporters and protesters.

“Dear Donald Trump, we have been watching you for a long time and what we see is deeply disturbing,” an altered or computerized voice says in the video, before addressing listeners. "We need you to shut down his websites, research and expose what he doesn’t want the public to know. We need you to dismantle his campaign and sabotage his brand." Near the end of the video, a banner says the April Fools Day target should be the website for Trump International Hotel and Tower in River North.

Anonymous is a loosely-based collective of activists and hackers who have been known for attacking ISIS and various law enforcement groups, among others.
