Chicago Magazine released its list of the Best New Restaurants in Chicago, and for once, we are almost absolutely on board with their choices. The list covers restaurants that opened between March of 2015 and February 2016, and The Blanchard tops the list.

We were huge fans of The Blanchard when we wrote our review, and the fact that it keeps getting accolades is absolutely awesome. The rest of the list is pretty great too, and includes some of our favs: Boefhaus, which made our best new restaurants list, Oyster Bah, which we loved when we reviewed it and Naoki Sushi, which (spoiler alert) we will be reviewing later this week.

Other restaurants on the list include Arbor (with its Midwestern Omakase), Monteverde, Swift & Sons (which seems to have improved since our visit) and De Quay. The list has some geographical diversity as well, with Ixcateco Grill in Albany Park (which we loved during a visit last month) and Osteria Trulli in Arlington Heights.
