Millennium Park's Free Summer Workout Schedule Is Here

The 2016 schedule for Millennium Park's free summer workouts was just released. Get ready for free 45-minute Zumba, yoga, tai chi and Pilates workouts on the park's Great Lawn! Classes start on June 1 and run through Sept. 3. Many of them are set to live music, too—like Spanish guitar, or beats from a local drum circle.

The bulk of the workouts are on Saturdays, when classes run from 7 to 11 a.m., but there will also be a free yoga class in the park every Wednesday morning this summer, starting at 7:30 a.m.

Here's the full schedule:

SATURDAY WORKOUTS

Saturday, June 4

* 7 a.m.: Yoga, led by Marta Bailey from Dunamis Yoga (a "Christ-centered yoga practice")
* 8 a.m.: Cardio Workout, led by LaTonya Ellis
* 9 a.m.: Pilates, led by East Bank Club
* 10 a.m.: Zumba, led by East Bank Club

There will be gospel music during the first two workouts. (This is the weekend of the Chicago Gospel Music Festival, which runs June 3-4.)

Saturdays, June 11 to 25

* 7 a.m.: Tai Chi, led by Christopher Zalek from the Great Lakes Tai Chi
* 8 a.m.: Yoga, led by Lani Granum of Moksha Yoga
* 9 a.m.: Pilates, led by Leah Ousley of Skyy Level Group Fitness
* 10 a.m.: Zumba, led by DANCEYTUDE with Meagan Ponce

Music during yoga and Pilates will be provided by Carlo Basile of Las Guitarras de Espana and Friends. Drumming during Zumba will be provided by Crozier Percussion Collective.

Saturdays, July 2 to July 30

* 7 a.m.: Tai Chi, led by Gilda’s Club Chicago with Deb Sitron and Martin Romero
* 8 a.m.: Yoga, led by Alie McManus
* 9 a.m.: Pilates, led by Emily Gross of At The Core
* 10 a.m.: Zumba, led by Iris T. London, ITL Fitness

Music during yoga and Pilates will be provided by Bill Mackay. Drumming during Zumba will be provided by The Rhythm Revolution Drummers.

Saturdays, August 6 to September 3

* 7 a.m.: Tai Chi, led by East Bank Club
* 8 a.m.: Yoga, led by Chicago Park District/Park Family Wellness
* 9 a.m.: Pilates, led by East Bank Club
* 10 a.m.: Zumba, led by Janice Lofton

Music during yoga and Pilates will be provided by DJ John Simmons.

WEDNESDAY YOGA CLASSES

Wednesdays, June 1-29

* 7:30 a.m: Yoga, led by Lani Granum of Moksha Yoga

Wednesdays, July 6-27

* 7:30 a.m: Yoga, led by Trevor Dye

Wednesdays, August 3-31

* 7:30 a.m: Yoga, led by Shakta Kaur of Kundalini Yoga in the Loop
