Photos: Frank Lloyd Wright's Winslow House Is Now On Sale For Just $1.3M

Frank Lloyd Wright's Winslow House in River Forest has been on the market for three years, and the historic home now has its lowest asking price yet: $1.375 million. Property tax on the home has also been reduced.
In 2013, when it first went on the market, Winslow House had an asking price of $2.4 million,—which means at this point, the price has almost halved.
Wright built this sprawling mansion in 1893, just after leaving Adler & Sullivan, the renowned Chicago architecture firm where he had been principal draftsman. The main home has 5 bedrooms and 3.1 bathrooms, according to its listing. The two-story coach house has another bedroom, bathroom and half-bath. Other swank features include four (four!) fireplaces, a kitchen with a "butler's pantry," hand-carved wooden flourishes and the original art glass windows, now more than a century old.
The home also has a four-car garage, for families who own four cars (?!?!?!?!).
