Early Monday morning, a car crash in Humboldt Park pushed a parked van through the window of Cuban restaurant Señor Pan Café (2615 W. North Ave).

The crash occurred at about 3:40 a.m., a Chicago Police Department spokesperson told Chicagoist. The SUV driver, a woman, was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious to critical condition; alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

The accident left the van protruding from the café's storefront, as you can see in NBC's video, below.

Señor Pan was closed at the time of the accident, but restaurant owners told NBC5 that they would reopen as soon as possible.
