From a cosmic convergence to daybreaker yoga to The Queen B at Soldier Field, we've got plenty of events to keep you busy this week.

MONDAY MAY 23

COSMIC CONVERGENCE: Classical music converges with space at Chicago Sinfonietta's final concert of the season. Cosmic Convergence celebrates the decade-long collaboration with astronomer and visual artist Dr. José Francisco Salgado, who created films for Adler Planetarium and co-founded KV 265, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting science through music. Two new films will also be premiered. 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $18.

FUNDRAISING DINNER: Support adult education with a mole cooking demonstration and from Chef Anselmo Ramirez of the new restaurant Ixcateco Grill. Centro Romero was hit hard by the state’s budget cuts and this dinner will help keep the non-profit’s adult education programs running. 6 p.m. Tickets are $100.

BACHELORETTE PARTY: Are you one of those viewers still into The Bachelorette? Join other fans at Flagship’s Viewing Parties with food and drink specials beginning this Monday. Christina Harrison, host of the parody show “Will You Accept This Rose: An Improvised Parody of the Bachelor” at Under The Gun Theater will be there giving out free tickets to their June 3 show. 7 p.m. Free.


TUESDAY MAY 24

SWEETS + SNACKS EXPO: Sweets. Snacks. This is one event that doesn’t need much explaining. The National Confectioners Association’s Sweets & Snacks Expo comes to McCormick Place May 24 to 26 and retailers, suppliers and others can see (and try) what’s trending in the world of candy and snack innovations. If you can’t make it to the expo, be on the lookout for the Pocky Tour Truck (the Japanese snack celebrating 50 years at the Expo) handing out free samples around the city through June 19. WEDNESDAY MAY 25

DAYBREAKER DANCE + YOGA: The Daybreaker early morning yoga and dance party is back at SPiN. It’s a 90’s throwback themed party, so break out your mood ring and butterfly clips. Yoga class begins at 5:30 a.m. with dance party immediately following from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Free coffee, juice & breakfast treats will be available. Tickets start at $20.

THREE FLOYDS DINNER: Indulge in a five course dinner paired with brews from Three Floyds at Replay Andersonville at 7 p.m. The menu crafted by Chefs Bernardo Ibarra and Kaz Medhat includes seasonal summer dishes like watermelon gazpacho and shrimp ceviche. Tickets are $55.

FREE FITNESS: The new Marriott Mag Mile fitness center is free to the public on Wednesday to celebrate it’s multi-million dollar renovation. They’ll have classes, live entertainment and complimentary bites from Rush Street Pantry at the all-day event benefiting Children’s Miracle Network. Suggested donation for classes is $15. SOUR SISTERS DINNER: Community Tavern and Goose Island team up for a Sour Sisters Dinner at 6:30 p.m. The quintet of sour beers will be paired with a four-course French-inspired menu from Executive Chef/Partner Joey Beato. Cost is $65. For reservations call (773) 283-6080.


THURSDAY MAY 26

ELECTRO PRE-PARTY: Even if you’re not heading to Movement, the electronic music festival in Detroit, you can still go to Berlin for the official pre-party at 10 p.m. DJs Kevin Starke, Jordan Zawideh, and Rob Severe will perform at Acid Dreams, plus headliner Alexander Robotnick all the way from Italy.

BIKE NIGHTS: Got a bike? Get revved for Twisted Spoke Bike Nights every Thursday beginning this week. Fellow bikers meet at 6:30 p.m. at Harley Davidson in Glenview for the 20 mile ride to Twisted Spoke where they’ll have burger and beer specials. Free to join.

FREE WHIRLYBALL: It's an Animals vs. People Showdown at Whirlyball on Thursday, the animals being 3 Sheeps and Goose Island. Face off against the teams behind these breweries with free games in between beers and bites.

ISRAELI JAZZ FEST: The Israeli Jazz & World Music Fest kicks off today with Laser Lloyd at Buddy Guy’s Legends and continues with performances at venues across the city for the next week. The 4th annual fest features Israeli-born and Chicago-based musicians and includes soul, blues, rock and more styles. Visit their website for schedule and ticket info.

FRIDAY MAY 27

BEYONCÉ: The Queen B arrives in Chicago for two dates on her Formation World Tour at Soldier Field. Beyoncé is hot off the release of her new visual album, Lemonade, which took the world by storm and has earned praise for tackling the trials and tribulations of black women throughout history into today. Both nights begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $45.

WALKER STALKER CON: Attention zombie enthusiasts: Walker Stalker Con is here. More than 50 actors from The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Z Nation, Hannibal, Gotham, Dead 7, Comic Book Men and more will be at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center this weekend. Attend panels, get photos and autographs and participate in the The Walking Dead Experience or the Apocalypse Zombie Experience. Tickets are $45.

JETSET WEEKEND SERIES: Kick off summer with the new JetSet Weekend Series at ROOF on theWit. Starting with Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, their themed parties will bring different worldly destinations directly to Chicago each weekend. Parties start at 2 p.m.
