It's summertime, and the livin' is easy. Make it even easier with shopping, a cooking class, or something else from our favorite weekend events.

FRIDAY JULY 22

SIDEWALK SALE: Take your shopping outdoors this weekend in Andersonville during their annual Summer Sidewalk Sale. Books, fashion, antiques and more will all hit the sidewalk as almost thirty businesses take business outside. Free.

COMEDY EXPOSITION: Comedy Exposition enters it’s third year of celebrating independent stand-up comedy at venues across the city including Lincoln Hall, Schubas and The Apollo Theatre. The “grassroots” festival features performances, showcases and podcast recordings from more than 50 local and national comedians. Ticket prices vary by show. DOG HAPPY HOUR: Shake Shack River North and Kriser’s Natural Pet host a special "Yappy Hour" happy hour from 5pm-7pm with free Pooch-ini treats and swag. One Tail at A Time will also be there with some pooches looking for their forever home. Free.

LEMONADE STAND: Beat Friday's oppressive heat with ACME Hotel Company as they post a lemonade stand outside the hotel from 1 to 3 p.m. The refreshing drinks will be next to free.

LOLLASHOP: It’s coming. The mammoth music festival creeps into town with the Lolla Shop pop-up store opening on Michigan Avenue. Get your souvenir gear before your size runs out.

SATURDAY JULY 23

SHEFFIELD MUSIC FEST + GARDEN WALK: Check out the gardens of Lincoln Park residents and take in some tunes at the 48th Annual Sheffield Music Festival and Garden Walk. From noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday the street fest has fun for the whole family, capping off with a performance from Wedding Banned Sunday night. Entry is a $7 suggested donation benefiting neighborhood schools, local institutions, and community projects including the SNA's Award-Winning Beautification Program.

CRAFT BEER FEST: It’s time for the 5th annual Chicago Craft Beer Fest in Lincoln Park happening in conjunction with the Sheffield Music Festival and Garden Walk. More than 35 specialty brewers will be passing out samples including Pollyanna, Forbidden Root and more. One-day tasting passes are $35 in advance and tasting hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

WICKER PARK FEST: Wicker Park Fest is this weekend and it’ll be jam packed with a “cutting edge” music lineup and local fare. Check out local bands like Lowdown Brass Band and The Island of Misfit Toys early in the day before it gets too crowded. There’s also a Kids Fest area with programming from noon to 6 p.m. each day. Entry is a $10 gate donation benefiting WPB Chamber of Commerce.

NEW EDITION: Windy City Music Festival presents the Chicago stop on New Edition’s “This One’s For You” Tour. Get sexy with the R&B stars and their hits from the 80s and 90s like “Candy Girl.” Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds will guest star with Raheem DeVaughn and Guy opening. Tickets start at $59.

TASTE OF LATIN AMERICA: Get a taste of Latin foods and culture at the Taste of Latin America in Humboldt Park this weekend. Flavors from Colombia, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico and Spain will be represented along with music and libations. The street fest also has cooking demonstrations and wine tastings. Wine tasting passes are $10 in advance.

SPARKLING WINE TASTING: Sip some sparkling at Webster’s Wine Bar from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. During their Sparkling Wine Tasting, learn about Champagne, Cremants, Franciacorta, Prosecco and many other bubblys. Tasting includes about 20 wines and hors d'ouevres. Tickets are $50.

POP-UP FARMERS MARKET: Summer House and Seedling Fruit are teaming up for a fruit-focused pop-up farmer’s market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Buy perfectly ripe blueberries, raspberries, apricots, peaches and more. They’ll also have made-to-order fresh fruit smoothies and Summer House’s pastry chef will be making treats.

MUSTACHE BAR CRAWL: Grow out that mustache (or put on a fake one) for The 8th Annual Mustache Crawl in Wrigleyville on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets include an official T-shirt, gift cards, a breakfast buffet, no cover at participating bars and admission to the pre- and post-parties. It’s also a benefit for the Lakeview Pantry and former Blackhawk’s Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation. Tickets are $40.

FARMERS MARKET COOKING CLASS: Join Chef Tony Mantuano and Chef Joe Flamm at Spiaggia from noon to 2 p.m. for a Farmer’s Market Cooking Class. They’ll visit the market in the morning and help you prepare a gourmet four-course lunch with the fresh, seasonal ingredients. Meal and prosecco included. Tickets are $100.

SUNDAY JULY 24

MOTORCYCLE + SCOOTER GATHERING: The infamous whiskey bar Delilah’s takes over Lincoln Ave on Sunday for the Rip It Up Rally from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The annual summer gathering features tons of different motorcycles and scooters. Ride your own in, and then ride to the after party at Three Aces, or just come to hang. Free.

SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK: The Grant Park Chorus heads to the Columbus Park Refectory for a concert of a cappella choral songs as part of Shakespeare 400 Chicago at 3 p.m. They’ll have a second Shakespeare concert at the South Shore Cultural Center next Tuesday at 7 p.m. Free.

YOGA + WINE: Ah, yoga and wine, two of our favorite things. Bring them together at Metropolitan Farms this sunday at 5 p.m. Tula Yoga Studio will host the class right in the warmth of the urban greenhouse, and then relax even more with a glass of wine post-class. Namaste. Tickets are $25 ($15 for Tula Yoga members).
