Chicago Sky star and WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne has come out publicly for the first time. In an upcoming profile by Vogue, Delle Donne reveals that she is in engaged to her partner, Amanda Clifton.

Delle Donne told reporters that the upcoming piece is “not a coming out article.” The magazine was just doing a profile on the Olympian and she felt no need to obscure her relationship. "It was just one of those articles where they came into my home, spent a couple days with me; and Amanda is a huge part of my life," said Delle Donne in Rio, where she is competing with the USA Women’s National Basketball Team. "So to leave her out wouldn't have made any sense… I've been with her for a very long time now, and people who are close to me know that, and that's that."

As ESPN points out, the star forward/guard wasn’t exactly keeping her relationship in the shadows. The couple is frequently seen together, including in photos posted to social media by Delle Donne and Clifton. Here’s one from a couple of weeks ago taken at a pop-up restaurant that will probably look familiar to Chicagoist readers.

This place was so cool! So glad we got the chance to experience the @SavedByTheMax #SavedByTheMax
