Like the late-summer blockbuster it is, the Brianna and Jaelin White Walking Tour now has its very own trailer to further the hype. The minute-long video was shot on Saturday, organizer Kevin Fergus told Chicagoist—three days before Tuesday's Facebook kerfuffle, which saw the social-media giant remove the event page, only to restore and apologize for the error. The clip was posted to Facebook Wednesday, as DNAinfo reported this afternoon.
The clip was written by local comedian Robel Arega. A friend of event organizer Kevin Fergus, Arega also plays the voice of God in a particularly solid gag that we won't spoil. The trailer was posted on the event page on Wednesday by Andrew Campbell, a box-office manager at The Second City and friend of Fergus who also helped put the clip together. Kyle Mantegna, who's also active the local comedy scene, directed.
“I’m just really excited for Tuesday,” Fergus told Chicagoist on Wednesday. “It’s gonna be really fun!”
Fergus also said he was in contact on Wednesday with Care For Real, an Edgewater charity that provides food and clothing for families in need. He plans to take donations for the organization at Tuesday’s tour—a solid way to make sure it all remains good-natured.
