Photos: Goth, Punk Fashion Shames The Tees-And-Jeans Set At Riot Fest

By Stephen Gossett in Arts & Entertainment on Sep 19, 2016 2:42PM

Given its penchant for rock nostalgia, Riot Fest tends to attract a lot of shlubby dudes in T-Shirts and jeans—not exactly the most fashion-forward of looks. But don't let that fool you. The weekend simultaneously boasts an incredible amount of industrious, subcultural style: towering liberty spikes, goth duds, gutter-punk classics, Misfits skull face paintings and (why not?) some lucha libre masks. Another common sight: pink-stained victims of GWAR's fake-bloodlettings. And even the tees-and-jeans crowd comes through with funny shirts. Lookin' good, Riot Fest.
