A massive, extra-alarm fire tore through a West Town pallet company on Monday night. The fire spread to one home and displaced six people, according to reports.
The blaze started at around 11 p.m., near North Damen Avenue and West Grand Avenue, and was raised to 3-11 about an hour later. Dramatic video shows towering flames and huge billows of smoke. The witness who filmed the clip posted that he heard explosions, also. The Chicago Fire Department had tweeted that propane tanks were the “main concern.”
