Chance the Rapper will cap off an incredible year with a pretty incredible appearance. The South Side native is set to perform at the National Christmas Tree Lighting at the White House on Dec. 1.

Chance and President Obama go back. Obama included Chance's "Acid Rain" on his summer playlists back in August, and Chance has been invited to meet the president at the White House in the past. They met to talk about the My Brother's Keeper Initiative back in April.

“He’s a good man," Chance said of Obama after the meeting in a GQ interview. "Even if he wasn’t president, if his ass worked at, like, Red Lobster, he’d be just a good man working at Red Lobster."

A ticket lottery kicks off Friday, Oct. 7. In the meantime, you can reminisce with Chance's excellent debut Magnificent Coloring Day festival here.
