Hundreds Say They Will Form Chain At Trump Tower Because 'Pussy Grabs Back'

On Tuesday morning, the “pussy grabs back.”

The morning before the final presidential debate, hundreds are expected to form a wall outside Trump Tower in response to the “blatant misogyny” of the GOP candidate.

Pussy Grabs Back: Chicago is one of several nationwide actions slated for Tuesday morning. “We are grabbing our pussies and taking them to Trump Tower Chicago to form a human pussy chain,” reads details on the Facebook event page.

The event was organized by Slut Talk, a local “collective dialogue” that regularly hosts sex-positive events and feminist performances in Chicago, including the Feminist Happy Hour showcase. The protest comes in the wake of the Washington Post’s recent publication of Trump’s now infamous 2005 “grab ‘em by the pussy” hot-mic comment. At least nine women subsequently came forward to accuse Trump of sexual assault or misconduct after the GOP nominee dismissed his boast as “locker room” talk.

"It's a response to the blatant misogyny, the constant devaluing of women and Trump's lack of accountability," organizer Alicia Swiz told Chicagoist. "He 100 percent refuses to acknowledge the violence of his words and actions."

"We want to remind people that this is a human-rights issue," added Swiz, a performer, freelance writer and professor at Harold Washington College. "It's about being an American citizen and saying, 'this man can't represent me.'"

As of Monday morning, over 400 women and male allies have RSVP'ed. The action takes place Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. Groups will meet at Wabash and Wacker.
