Video: This Cubs-Themed 'Hamilton' Parody Is Of-The-Moment Perfection

The two hottest tickets of the millennium in Chicago are, of course, Cubs postseason baseball and Hamilton. So when part-time Cubs meme creator Matt Paolelli noticed the near-rhyme of “Hamilton” and “Clark and Addison,” he knew he’d found fertile ground.

Paolelli, a digital communications professional for a non-profit in Chicago, created the resulting mash-up parody on Friday with his brothers Chris, Joe and Ben and posted it on Saturday. As of Monday afternoon, the clip had been viewed more than 14,000 times

“It’s been cool to appeal to people’s passions,” Paolelli, who has been running Cubs Memes since early last season, told Chicagoist.

Still, Paolelli has some further expectations for the video. “I would really just love if Lin-Manuel Miranda Tweeted me about it.”

You’re move, Miranda.
