The thrill of civic duty performed is undeniable, but we've already witnessed enough long lines this Election Day to know that it's not the easiest-sailing process all the time either. It's a serious issue that perpetually needs addressing. But you can help your stuck-in-line compatriots with a modest, short-term salve, at least. Either report a long polling line or donate to the "pizza fund" at Pizza to the Polls, which gets much-needed sustenance to voters stuck in wait.

They heeded a few calls right here in Chicago Monday, during early voting, and are back at it again today, across the country.

As of Tuesday morning, Pizza to the Polls had collected more than $16,000 and delivered more than 250 pizzas to polling places around the country. Report a long line here, and help make the downsides of the democratic process that much more palatable.
