Store Clerk Subject To Racist Rant In 'Utter Shock' Over Donations

The Michaels employee who was subjected to a racist tirade from a Trump supporter has had quite a week: after being berated by a serial public screamer, she received such an outpouring of donations that she is in "utter shock," she wrote in a Thursday GoFundMe update.

The GoFundMe on her behalf—started by bystander Jessie Grady, who shot the viral video of the incident—has now raised more than $32,000—more than 80 times its $400 goal.

Holli, the subject of the harassment, thanked donors for their contributions in a letter Grady posted to GoFundMe. "You have all singlehandedly changed my life," Holli wrote.

She also laid out a loose plan for what she'll do with the funds. She writes:

With your support I have been blessed with the opportunity to live and not just survive daily. I can properly provide for my family and meet all our children's needs. I will now have the ability to get my business up and running in order to provide a better future for us. And I can still give back to my community even more now.

The business she's referring to is a small design business, detailed further here.

Holli spoke to CBS recently, too, again using only her first name, and said of the woman who shouted at her, “I just hope she’ll be OK.”

CBS reports that Holli and her husband have three kids.
