Kanye filled us in a bit more about his hashtag-2024 plan on Twitter. Scroll down to read.

Everyone has been speculating why secret Trump supporter Kanye West met with President-elect Donald Trump earlier this morning. Will Yeezy head the CIA? Or will he perform at the inauguration? Is it some sort of long con? Well, now "sources" (Kris Kardashian?) tell TMZ that the rapper-turned-fashion designer has been working on a "long-term plan."

The gossip site explains, "Kanye West had a long-term plan when he asked to meet with Donald Trump ... talk about life during the first meeting, and death on the streets during the next one. Sources close to the rapper tell us Kanye has been thinking a lot about the violence in Chicago, and wants to use his name to make a difference. The rapper's had a good relationship with Trump, and he's decided to use it to help promote peace on the streets in Chi-town."

The pair did not discuss the issue during their brief chat—Trump told reporters that they talked about "life"—but TMZ claims, "Kanye plans to deepen the relationship once Trump becomes Prez. Kanye knows Trump has lots of people in his ear so he wanted a face-to-face to get on the radar now."

In 2009, President Barack Obama famously called West a "jackass."

West has been outspoke about the epidemic of violence in his hometown. He told the BBC a few months ago, "We are numb. We're numb to 500 kids getting killed in Chicago a year. We're numb to the fact that it was seven police shootings in the beginning of July" (the Chicago Tribune points out, "490 people were killed from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2015. That number includes children"). And at the MTV Video Music Awards, West brought up, "When you think about, last week, it was 22 people murdered in Chicago."

West, who cancelled the rest of his Saint Pablo tour after a reported nervous breakdown, is apparently in NYC to put together an East Coast medical team so that he can split his time between the city and LA.

Kanye expounded a bit about his plans to use Trump to help Chicago kids on Twitter this afternoon:
