Video: Peek Inside The CTA's Elf-Filled Holiday Transit Options

Every December, the CTA celebrates the holidays with a holiday train and a holiday bus, each with Santa on board—proof that one man can be in two places at once. This year, they've added a second holiday train into the mix, too: an Elves' Workshop Train that runs on Saturdays, teeming with elves giving out free candy canes.
See for yourself. The holiday transit has been up and running since November, but the CTA released a Cribs-esque video tour of the whole shebang. It's set to a special version of "Jingle Bells," complete with an extremely gentle guitar solo!
Some highlights of the video include:
That Santa will take photos with solo adult men feeling the Christmas spirit...

...as well as his traditional demographic, children.

The literal sleigh on the holiday bus, which creates a transit-within-transit effect that's probably pretty affecting if you have (legally, of course) smoked weed:

And on the holiday train, Santa rides in what amounts to a convertible L car—a delightful compromise between riding a train normally and Chance the Rapper's "Angels" video.

Don't get too into making light of the holiday transit, though (and yes, I am speaking largely to myself there). The holiday train has delivered food baskets to community organizations throughout the city ever since it started in 1992. This year, it will deliver about 300 food baskets. That's literally what the holidays are all about.
