Can you guess this writer's favorite date spot?

You've told us where you get your favorite pizza in Chicago, you've helped us pick the best beer in Chicago, and you've shared your stories behind the best hookup bars in the city. Now, we're asking you for help again, readers: What are the best places to take a date in Chicago?

We want to hear your top suggestions, whether it's your first date go-to spot or your 100th time grabbing a drink with your love. We'd also love to hear your true and not-overly-embellished accounts of what made that date great (or, on the flip side, your cautionary tales). We'll publish our favorites if we get enough, and we'll keep it anonymous unless we have permission to use your name. Email us at tips@chicagoist.com or leave a comment.

The Chicagoist staff will dish on our favorite date spots, too.

Of course, there are some classic, tried-and-true options: The Pilsen Art Walk, The Garfield Park Conservatory, Violet Hour, the Art Institute...that's a great start, but not all we're after. Tell us what makes your local haunt an ideal spot for having a romantic night out, and where you go when you want to impress someone new. Bonus points if it's a place that's only opened in the past couple of years—the more creative or new your suggestion, the better.
