City Native Slams Panelist From Suburbs On Fox News: 'You're Not From Chicago'

And this is why God created the term "Chicagoland."
What areas constitute Chicago and what don't, who qualifies as being truly "from" Chicago and who doesn't is an age-old, never-ending debate, one that plays out in variations in cities throughout America. But rarely have we seen it play out on such a grand stage—and in such hilarious fashion—than in the TV news clip below.
GOP strategist Gianno Caldwell and Democratic strategist Richard Fowler were discussing the now-national water-cooler topic, Chicago violence and President Donald Trump's obsession therewith, on a recent episode of Fox & Friends in the wake of Trump's "send in the feds" tweet.
In the video, Fowler is floating what role Gov. Bruce Rauner might play in the curbing violence when he offers up his own (perhaps specious) bona fides. "What the home audience doesn't know is that I'm from Chicago. I work in Chicago. I'm in Chicago almost once a week," he says before Caldwell brilliantly jumps in.
"Bruh, bruh, bruh. You're from Evanston, Richard!" Caldwell, a former South Sider, interjects, to the eternal delight of everyone who was born within Chicago proper and has had the same reaction once or a dozen times before. "You're not from Chicago," he adds, stating his case in no uncertain terms.

We came across the exchange via the viral clip above, but it looks like Caldwell himself posted an extended version of the exchange on YouTube, which shows more context leading up to Caldwell's priceless shade. The slow burn buildup is worth a few minutes.
