This weekend coffee shops across the country will be hosting fundraisers for the American Civil Liberties Union. Sprudge, a site that typically sticks to the topic of coffee, has decided to enter the political arena and organize the fundraisers thanks to President Donald Trump's Muslim ban. The site writes, "Like a hot mug of drip coffee spilled on a crisp white apron, these actions are a dark stain on our national conscience, and as Americans we feel compelled to stand up against them."

The ACLU, which has been battling this executive order and defending immigrant and refugee families, has earned quite a bit of support, including an unprecedented $24 million in donations over the weekend. Citizens eager to see the country's civil liberties fiercely guarded have continued to fundraise for the legal group. Now the coffee lobby is stepping up, too.

Sprudge has vowed to match the first $500 raised for each of the 26 companies it is partnering with at over 125 cafes across the country. The fundraiser starts Friday and lasts through Sunday. You can participate in the fundraiser simply by showing up. You can find a complete updated list here, but we pulled the participating cafes in Chicago (Hat tip to TimeOut Chicago, which compiled the list first). (Of course, you can always make a donation to the ACLU directly here.)
