You don't have to be a gearhead to be gobsmacked at the Chicago Auto Show—although there's a distinct possibility that the industry's bells-and-whistles-loaded parade of new-model vehicles and concept cars will transform you into one.

Part of the fun at each annual CAS, which this year runs from February 11 - 20, at McCormick Place, are the novelty vehicles, of course. And this year doesn't disappoint, with Nissan's Star Wars SUV model and the life-size Lego Batmobile leading the way.

Plenty of other offerings are nearly as eye-grabbing, from impossibly sleek sports cars courtesy of Porsche, Alfa Romeo and many other makes to a fuel-cell car that looks designed more for interstellar travel than roadway use (Toyota's FCV Plus)—not to mention several seriously envy-inducing test tracks. Scroll through above for some of the best and flashiest.
