Chicago One Of Top 10 Up-And-Coming Tech Hubs In The World

Chicago is one of the top 10 up-and-coming tech hubs in the world, according to a new report from KPMG, The report—whose title, unfortunately, includes the word "disruptive"(as in "The Changing Landscape of Disruptive Technologies)—is based on a survey about which cities, San Francisco aside, would be "seen as a leading technology innovation hub over the next four years."
We came in sixth on the ten-city list, three-way-tied with Berlin and Washington, D.C. The full list goes as follows:
1. Shanghai
2. New York
3. Tokyo and Beijing
5. London
6. Washington, D.C., Chicago and Berlin
9. Tel Aviv and Boston
Chicago was also named the #1 emerging tech hub in the U.S last month by a Modis survey. The tech scene in Chicago is officially about to boom. Developers are even building apartments (and hiking rents?) to prepare.
