Man Shot While Driving On South Lake Shore Drive Friday Morning: Report

A man was shot on South Lake Shore Drive Friday morning, near Hyde Park's 57th Street exit, according to authorities.
The man 35, reportedly walked into Mercy Hospital with a gunshot wound in his abdomen, saying that he was driving in a vehicle on Lake Shore Drive when he was shot by an unknown shooter at about 11:45 a.m.
The man was in stable condition, and transferred to Stroger Hospital for treatment. No one is in custody, according to police, and Area Central detectives are investigating.
