'Video: Elisabeth Moss Owns A 'Handmaid's Tale' Bonnet With The Cubs Logo

It probably wouldn't go over great in Gilead, but North Siders will definitely appreciate this. Handmaid's Tale star and prestige-TV icon Elisabeth Moss apparently owns a Cubs-themed handmaid's bonnet.

Moss is from Los Angeles, but her mom's side is from Chicago; and she's apparently a lifelong Cubs diehard. So when the Cubs were making their nerve-wracking playoff run last fall, the Offred actress channeled that baseball anxiety into filming the terrifyingly plausible dystopian drama. During September and October production, "most of my acting and emotional stress, anger and strife came from following the Cubs in the postseason," Moss told her host on Monday night's Late Night With Seth Meyers. How method!

With Cubs fever running off the charts as it was back then, the costume crew for Handmaid's Tale decided put together a special Cubs version of the handmaid's headgear. The Commander be damned, the team gear must find its way to the show, Moss joked. "I'm planning on sneaking it in at some point in Season Two," she told Meyers.

Take a peek at the bonnet below, and check out the full interview above. The Handmaid's Tale, Hulu's adaptation of Margaret Atwood's classic about an authoritarian government that strips women of all agency (where do they come up with stuff?!), airs on Thursdays.
