"Stay in your lane" is generally pretty solid advice, applicable to love, life, work and pretty much everything except changing lanes. (Also not applicable to helping your friends move. You should help.)

This week, Chicago hip-hop favorite Rhymefest and young artist collective Donda's House turned the versatile maxim into a song; "Stay in Your Lane," a bike safety rap track produced in collaboration with Blackstone Bikes. Honestly, it's really good! If it weren't explicitly about bikes, we could see it on a Fast & Furious soundtrack.

Watch it with the closed captioning on, so you can fully enjoy the practical yet rhyming bike advice. (Also, see if you can spot the shoutout to Divvy.)

This could honestly be Chicago's song of the summer—Streetsblog Chicago noted that the track was performed at Friday's Bike to Work rally.

One last thought: We really love this sweatshirt. If you know where it can be purchased, email tips@chicagoist.com.
