A man reportedly attacked another man with a chainsaw Monday afternoon in Arlington Heights, critically injuring him.

Local police told reporters that the men knew each other. The attack occurred in an office park's parking lot in the 500 block of West Golf Road, after the chainsaw-weilding man allegedly drove into the parking lot, rammed into the other man's car, then got out of his car and attacked him. The attacker was reportedly wearing barely any clothing and clad in boxer shorts. Police arrested the man and held him in custody overnight Tuesday. A woman was reportedly in the victim's car and is unharmed.

Arlington Heights Police Deputy Chief Andy Whowell told the WLS that "There's no danger to the public. Or any adjacent businesses here or other employees." He also told the Tribune that a domestic dispute involving the two men and a woman led to the attack.
