Flying Lotus' 'Kuso,' The 'Grossest Movie Ever Made,' Is Coming To Chicago

The debut film of IDM/hip-hop favorite Flying Lotus has been called "grotesque," "intriguingly disgusting" and (why hold back?) "the grossest movie ever made." Kuso, a gonzo body-horror spectacle, even reportedly engendered walkouts at an infamous Sundance screening. Soon, brave Chicago filmgoers will have the chance to see and add their own grossed-out superlatives.

The Davis Theater (4614 N. Lincoln Ave.) will host the Chicago debut, with two screenings (July 21 and 22) presented by the Chicago Cinema Society.

CCS describes the not-lacking-for-ambition WTF madness:

"This wild hybrid of live action, puppetry and animation premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival as part of their Midnight selections. It immediately gained a reputation as one of the most bizarre and confrontational films to ever screen there, and now this comedic horror fantasia will be on big screens across the country for two nights only."

On the other hand, if you prefer to squirm along from the comfort of home, Kuso will also be released to streaming platforms (including iTunes and Amazon) same day.

See the trailer below, and follow Chicago Cinema Society and the Davis Theater for ticket-info updates. If we see just one bizarro would-be cult-horror-comedy item co-starring Hannibal Buress and George Clinton, it'll probably be this.
