Winter is here, haven't you heard? And so is Game of Thrones Season 7! We know, it's stressful. And while the finale of Season 6 didn't leave us on the quite the precarious cliffhanger of Season 5, there are a lot of open questions around how the show is going to push the plot in its penultimate season, what with all the recent political shakeups in King's Landing and Winterfell, the various prophecies that need fulfilling and all those Whitewalkers and wights heading south in a hurry.

Thankfully, there are lots of ways to celebrate winter's return in Chicago this July, whether you have your brother's ex-girlfriend's HBOGO password or not. We've rounded up a few that we can bet will be dark and full of spoilers:

The Burlington:

The Burlington is known for its epic Game of Thrones watch parties and their possibly even more entertaining crowd reaction videos. And as in years past, you can bet The Burlington will be screening the season 7 premiere. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the screening begins at 8 p.m. There will be show-themed drink specials available, and if you ask Patton Oswalt, it's the place to be:

The Rookery :

The Rookery is hosting its own Game of Thrones screening Sunday night, starting with the Season 6 finale, followed by the Season 7 premiere, starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be food and drink specials for the occasion.

The Diag Bar and Grill:

The Diag Bar and Grill on Southport is hosting a Game of Thrones trivia competition early Sunday evening, shortly followed by a screening of the new season premiere. The Facebook event suggests you email megan@bigoniontaverngroup.com for reservations.

Fado Irish Pub & Restaurant:

If you really can't wait until Sunday to hang with some diehard Game of Thrones fans, Fado Irish Pub & Restaurant is hosting a Pub Quiz afternoon on Saturday, July 15. Trivia starts at 2 p.m. and wraps up at 6 p.m., when will the bar will play some sports game on TV that is not Game of Thrones and therefore will not be mentioned in this article. There will be special GoT-themed cocktails, and it will cost $5 to play. No word yet on whether you win, or die. Sign up in advance here.
