Wicker Park's Big Star is getting ready to host a one-day pop-up restaurant that's sure to interest local foodies: Celebrated local chef Paul Kahan of Blackbird and One Off Hospitality Group is teaming up with Sean Brock, the star chef of popular Nashville and Charleston, South Carolina spots, to serve up tacos inspired by their own menus.

You may want to start lining up on Damen Avenue now: there will be no tickets or reservations for the July 23 popup; everything is served a la carte on a first come, first served basis. Brock told the Tribune that his tacos will include fried chicken skin with a pasilla de Oaxaca sauce, grilled catfish with Appalachian tomato gravy, and pig ears with Appaalchian sour cabbage and salsa.

The popup will also be serving a special Old Fashioned drink with single-barrel bourbon from Kentucky's Heaven Hill distillery. The popup will open at 5 p.m. and feature bluegrass music from local band The Ship Breakers, featuring members of the Henhouse Prowlers.
