Police have charged a man with stealing multiple high-end bicycles in the South Loop earlier this month.

The man, Justin Milos Mount Prospect, Illinois, was arrested in the 5600 block of North Sheridan Road in Edgewater on July 17 after police identified him as a man in surveillance footage showing three people stealing bikes around the South Loop. Police had issued a community alert on July 7 warning area residents about the rash of bike thefts.

"With community assistance coupled with surveillance video, Police were able to identify Milos and charge him with the above felony crimes," police wrote in a news release. Milos was charged with three felony counts of burglary.

A previous police alert showing pictures of the alleged burglars said there were at least seven bike thefts in the area reported between June 22 and July 1 that appeared related.
