An infant girl fell out of her stroller and through the thin gap between the CTA train platform and a Blue Line train Thursday morning, but she is miraculously "in good shape," according to authorities. The fall happened around 8:45 a.m. at the Illinois Medical District station.

The child reportedly fell as her mother was pushing her in her stroller off of a train heading away from the Loop. The 2-month-old was rescued by bystanders, police and fire officials told the Tribune, and she was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition to be checked out.

Blue Line trains were temporarily delayed Thursday morning after crews shut off power to the tracks in order to rescue the child.
