Updated 12:30 p.m.: The show is now sold out. Metro tweeted to announce that the Friday show sold out within a half hour of tickets going on sale.

Will Lollapalooza aftershow wonders never cease?

Foo Fighters aren't playing Lollapalooza this year (although we had hoped they would) but Chicago fans will still have a chance to see them on the big festival weekend.

As part of the official Lollapalooza Aftershow series, and Metro's 35th anniversary celebration, Dave Grohl and the boys will play Metro this Friday, Aug. 4.

The band last played Metro in 2011, and it was one of the most memorable shows I've ever seen of theirs, so this is sure to be one of the hottest tickets in town.

Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday), and there is a strict two ticket limit per person. Sales will be Will Call only, so take that you lousy concert ticket resale vultures!
