CTA Red Line trains were temporarily delayed Tuesday morning after a man fell on the CTA tracks at the Lawrence Red Line station in Uptown.

The man fell on the tracks around 11:35 a.m., causing the CTA to shut off power on part of the Red Line so crews could rescue him. The man was conscious after the fall and did not touch the dangerous third rail, police told the Tribune. According to the CTA Twitter account, train service resumed again at about 12:09 p.m.
