A group of burglars crashed a car into an Austin shoe and fashion store early Thursday morning, making it the second time in one week that the West Side store has been burglarized.

The most recent crash was reportedly at 3:55 a.m. Thursday morning, when someone drove a Jeep Grant Cherokee into the storefront windows of VILLA, at 1506 N. Cicero Ave. Police say three to five men in a different car, a gray Honda CRV, went into the store, stole merchandise, and ran off.

The burglary was very similar to another one that took place on Friday, Oct. 6. Someone drove a black truck into the store's front window around 3:45 a.m. Then, three men ran into the store, grabbed some merchandise, and fled. Police say the black truck sustained serious damage.
