  Silly San Francisco... the ban on plastic bags there has actually done nothing to combat environmental issues. Everyone has just switched to paper bags, not reusables, and paper is far worse from an environmental standpoint. Paper requires far more resources...

  I live in Seattle, where I moved 20 years ago, which has an excellent recycling program. I am constantly surprised by the number of large cities that are just starting a recycling program. No wonder trash is littering your streets....
