The Morning After: Bulls Snap Skid

Rejoice, Bulls fans. Not only did both Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah return to action last night, but the Bulls also managed to snap their 10-game losing streak, beating up on the Philadelphia 76ers 98-84. The Bulls took the lead just over 3 minutes into the game and never trailed after that on their way to their first victory since February 26. Rose started and led the team with 23 points while Noah saw limited time off the bench for seven points and four rebounds. The Bulls will see if they can start a new winning streak tomorrow night when they host Houston (7 p.m., WCIU). more ›

The Morning After: Blackhawks, Bulls Both Fall

The Morning After: Blackhawks, Bulls Both Fall

Just like the Bulls, the Blackhawks had their United Center homecoming spoiled by losing as the St. Louis Blues got the best of the 'Hawks 3-2. Patrick Kane got the 'Hawks off to a good start and a 1-0 lead with a backhand goal a little over seven minutes in to the game. But a bad second period sunk the 'Hawks as the Blues scored three straight goals in an eight minute span to take a 3-1 lead heading into the third period. Marian Hossa cut into the lead with a short-handed goal early in the third, but the 'Hawks weren't able to get any closer and the Blues held on for the win. The 'Hawks nearly doubled the Blues up on shots, 34-19, but the Blues made theirs count; Huet got the nod in goal with an ill Antti Niemi sitting out a scheduled start. The Phoenix Coyotes come skating into town Friday as the 'Hawks look to bounce back into the win column (7:30 p.m., CSN+). more ›

Anxious to get home after the long road trip, the Bulls fell behind by 15 points early in the game before storming back with a huge third period to pull away and top Philadelphia 103-92. Ben Gordon led Chicago with 21 points while Drew Gooden added 20 points and 12 rebounds and rookie Derick Rose scored 18 and dished 10 assists. After surviving his first Circus Trip, Rose said, "I'm feeling good and taking it game by game. We're moving the ball and finding the open person. We're playing team basketball and that's what it's all about.'' The Bulls return home for a game tomorrow night against the 76ers. more ›
