Anthony clued us to this from Jezebel. We could sit and watch this all day. Who knew that Bert was into depressed Russian novelists?
Friday Morning Diversion: Conversations with Bert
Emandy Rahmberg: Comedy-Politics Combine at CTA Stop
Everything’s coming up roses for Rahm this week. He poured on the star power with a President, pop star and comedian all stumping for his campaign, he avoided tough questions from Chicago environmentalists at yet another skipped forum, some polls say he can win the February election straight up, and he has an insurmountable fundraising lead.
Monday Afternoon Diversion: An Even-Tempered Apology
Rahm, kicking ass through Andy Samberg.
Monday Diversion: Mother Lover
In case you're one of the few folks (like me) who have yet to see Samberg & The Lake's follow-up to the popular "Dick in a Box" video, here it is. And even if you have seen it, it's probably worth another look, especially on a Monday.
Monday Morning Diversion: The Rock Obama
While this skit, from this weekend's episode of SNL, isn't the funniest Obama-themed skit the show has produced, it's worth it just for Andy Samberg's brilliant Rahm Emanuel impression.
Tuesday Diversion: Battle of the SNL Boat Songs
Well, kind of. We recently enjoyed The Lonely Island's (which includes current SNL cast member Andy Samberg) "I'm On A Boat!" video (featuring T-Pain). Pretty clever and who doesn't love mermaid references? But it gnawed at us a bit: where had we seen it before? Turns out, we had seen it from former SNL great Will Ferrell who, with pal John C. Reilly, had done a video called "Boats 'n Hoes" for their 2008 film Step Brothers. Both are inspired bits of humor and get us laughing on another cold, gray winter Tuesday. [Language very NSFW]
