Chicago's unfortunate architectural lull, which bored us all into oblivion with a spate of new, lifeless residential highrises during the late '90s, finally seems to be coming to an end. pokerinathens.org is down on Michigan Avenue protesting and trying to get petitions signed to get poker in the 2004 Athens Olympics. They're waving signs around and chanting clever things like "Give poker a chance!". They seemed very serious.. but when we take a look at their site it looks like a joke. They have articles like "Poker Players Agree to Wear Unitards" and "Scientists Debunk Popular Painting: "Dogs Can't Play Poker." We can't link to these articles because the entire site is in flash (bad! bad! bad! when are people going to learn!!?!??!). more ›
